I was fixin’ to cook eggs for my son when I realized there was no bacon grease on hand (or bacon) as our family had just returned from a vacation the night before and the fridge was bare. Properly saved & stored, there just really isn’t anything as perfect for frying eggs or potatoes as bacon grease. I know people from different regions of the country were raised to keep a jar of the good stuff on hand, but my gut ;) tells me credit goes to the American South. Love, peace, and bacon grease.
And why not add Quel Parish grits to the bacon and eggs?
